How can I sync my apps?
Hi guys! Someone know how can I sync loopy with another IOS device with (for example) korg iKaossilator?
Thank you!

Check out the audiobus threads othis board...or google it!
You can do it either by creating an ad hoc network (google away for "midi ad hoc") or by buying an app called "midibridge". Thing to remember is that both apps on both devices need to support virtual midi and in particular, sync over virtual midi. I only own one Korg app (ims-20) so I'm not sure about this at all but I think all of the korg apps use WIST, not necessarily MIDI sync. Loopy doesn't support WIST. midibridge is a very handy app (!!) but it will not help with syncing apps without midi support.
These lists may help to sort out the possibilities:
Apps that support WIST:

Apps that support midi sync:

Thank you so much! I ll try!!
Hmm...
This WIST thing is really boring...
I thought I could use Audiobus to sync Ikaossilator with Loopy, but no. I hope Korg will ask to support Audiobus...
I guess we have to launch a petition, or that won't happen...
Grr...
Even if they supported audiobus, they'd still need to support midi sync if you wanted to keep it locked to something like loopy.
Ouch...Sad...
Michael, we really need a hack to use Loopy with WIST...Or with Audiobus...
I don't really know, but it's very frustrating not to be abble to sync the Korg Apps...
This may be something that is not useful to you but I will tell you what I do anyway... I create loops using the same BPM and time signature in things like garage band that don't talk to Loopy. Once I've got something ticking over in loopy (say I sing the drum beat, then record other things into other loops), I then go into other apps, create a loop same length, BPM, etc, and either audio copy or even email it to myself and then do the 'open in loopy' thing. Can you record the Korg stuff, elsewhere? Even if it isn't synced, as long as the recording length is the same, you can then rotate the loop (after you import it) to get it in sync. Eg record yourself playing along (if you're like me it will take a few minutes to get it 'just right') and then cut out exactly the length you need (the best bit), and import it into Loopy. Not as good as working directly with Loopy, but, if you know what you want, and persevere - seems to work for me (most of the time). It still means I can do most things in loops without getting too linear... If you know what I mean.
@crony - I've no plans to implement support for WIST at this point. MIDI is mature, functional and widely-implemented. Those apps that don't support it, well, their users will just have to convince their developers to do so
@garywi06 thanks for sharing ! I was thinking doing that in fact...
I already have a hardware Kaossilator, I guess I may use a Ikaossilator completely out of sync too...Even with WIST as there's no midi start/stop into Ikaossilator, it's uselss to me.But for other synths (like Polysix...) that could be great...
I also send a mail to Korg, but...
I wonder if the MIDI Bridge fellas have tried to figure out a hack for WIST/MIDI interoperability.
Very good point syrupcore...
I just send a mail...Well...Will see...
I just got an idea...
Using Polysix, wich seems to have midi implemented, using WIST with Polysix + Ikaossilator.
Loopy is launching, so is Polysix, even on an empty pattern, and Ikaossilator starts / stop thru Polysix...
The question, if this works, is how Loopy may send midi signal of start / stop ? I guess I also need midibridge...
To fully test I should have 3 Ipads...doh...I may borow an Ipad 1, but not sure anything will run on that stuff...
Ok got an Ipad 1and an Ipad 3, midibridge installed.
But once again, how can I manage start/stop with Loopy thru midi ??? Might be blind at that time...
What I would like to do is pressing a pedal from the FCB1010, starts Loopy, send thru midibridge the start signal to Anaphobia midi (at the moment) which is "WISTED" to Ikaossilator, which hopefully will start also.
Wait, I'm not sure Anaphobia can play background with Loopy loaded...
Well, I'll see that tomorrow...
