Strange count in behavior with Count out set EDIT 71 fixed It

edited October 2021 in Loopy Pro Beta

As of right now if you set the count in to1 bar and loop length to any other length the loop playhead will not line up correctly. For example a 1:2 will flip the loop 90 degrees a 1:4 180 degrees and so on. The expected behavior would be for the loop to stay in it's position in relation to the playhead regardless of the count in length. (See Ableton, Quantiloop or Boss loopers for example) Is there a way to make the count in not affect the loop start point?

To add. The only way to get the desired behavior is to have a 1:1 ratio of count in to count out. This would not be desirable for live performance. For example for an 8 bar loop you would need to wait for an 8 bar count in.

  • Would you mind doing a little video of this? I just tried it like so, and it worked as expected:

Hey it seems 71 has fixed this for me. It must have been something with my system and the older betas. I'm getting a new 2021 12.9 iPad Pro soon so hopefully it will all be smooth as butter.
