Livecasting?

Can I get a best-practices overview of how to use Loopy in a livecasting environment? I do a Wednesday-night show on Facebook and I'd love to start using Loopy but I can't figure out the best way to bring it into the mix.

  • For Facebook, because it doesn't support Audiobus or anything, you'd need to use a separate device running Facebook, with your Loopy/etc device running its audio out into the Facebook device. Sadly, there's no universal solution on iOS that lets you pipe audio from one app to another - Audiobus is the closest thing, and although it has near-universal support from music apps, Facebook ain't one of them.

  • Some singers are experimenting with:

    • using iRigPro to connect a microphone to the iOS device running Loopy
    • running the headphone output of iRigPro to a USB mixer or USB audio interface
    • connecting the USB mixer/audio interface to a Mac (PC?) running Facebook
    • setting the Mac/PC for Input/Output in the System Preferences/Control Panel to the USB mixer/audio interface
  • the other way that might be possible is if Loopy HD is iDAM compatible and plug in the iOS device to a mac?
    would this work?
