Mix down in AUM
Hey everybody. I want to assign individual loops to single tracks in AUM, apply effects, adjust levels etc then mix down/record to GarageBand to complete the project.
Question is: how do I identify which loop is what?
Looking at the track layout in Loopy on my iPad with the home button on the right how are the tracks numbered or labeled?
Also, will the Loopy tracks be labeled the same in AUM?
@Michael could you weigh in on this?
Thanks in advance.

So I see that in AUM Loopy is listed as an IAA > multiple ports> tracks 1-12.
Could've been proactive on that part. My bad.
So with the iPad in landscape mode numbered 1-12 left to right?
Generally, yes it is 1 -12 left to right, top row to bottom row. But It's not as straight forward as you would hope...
I got it figured out at one point, will look it up and let you know for sure later tonight.
Here you go. Also, when you make track-specific bindings in Loopy, it has a small image highlighting which track is assigned to that track number.
The number assignments are left to right like reading a page when iPad is vertical with home button on bottom.
Funny, the track numbers are opposite for me. Track 1 starts in upper right corner and then proceeds down and to the left...
Hmm... Your home button must be to your left @lukesleepwalker. In my diagram above the home button is on the right.
" The number assignments are left to right like reading a page when iPad is vertical with home button on bottom."
@Hmtx. Thanks for that. I appreciate the response. It gets a bit confusing when I'm using the iodock. The iPad is in landscape with the home button on the left, but the tracks should remain ordered 1-12, left to right, top to bottom.
Actually, the tracks remain numbered in relation to the home button. In your case, your orange menu bar is on the left. And track numbers are similar to @lukesleepwalker . Just flip my picture 180 and it will work.
Yep, that is correct. The tracks are numbered relative to the home button.
Facepalm. I know. This is changed in Loopy 3
Which will be released next week right? No pressure of course
