Hi! If your question relates to Loopy Pro, you may find a faster answer at one of the other Loopy Pro communities (https://loopypro.com/communities) – this forum has only a small number of active users.
Known issue and work-around: For a few users, Loopy hangs on launch, then quits
Update: This is fixed in the next version!
If Loopy hangs for you when you launch the app, then quits, then this is how to fix it:
- Download and install iExplorer, a great - and free - utility for accessing files on your iDevice.
- Open iExplorer, with your iDevice connected to your computer, and navigate to Loopy HD » Documents.
- Select Auto Save.looysession
- Press Enter to begin editing the name
- Change the name to something like Auto Save, Disabled.loopysession
- Press Enter to apply the name change
This is a known issue which is now fixed in the in-development version of Loopy; the fix will be available shortly.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi, my loopy does something similar. It hangs for 30 seconds on load screen, then gets backgrounded. I'm not inclined to buy iexplorer just to fix this, so just wanted to mention I'm looking forward to your fix for this problem. Fantastic app, thank you! I really miss not having it available!
Hi Neill, no need to purchase iExplorer. This free program works just as well:

I just experienced the same thing. Can't open your app. This is disappointing for sure. When are you going to have a fix since I can't get it to open anymore and I only just purchased it.
iExplorer is free, incidentally, and very easy to use
@luci: A fix is on its way, and apologies for the inconvenience. However, all those who have performed the work-around report that the problem is gone afterwards, so I recommend it. The software is free and easy to use.
Hi do you have any idea when the fix is available. I'm not tecky and don t have another computer so cant use your suggested method. Love the app though was disappointed to only be able to use it for a couple of hours. Rob
Hi Rob - I'm afraid there've been a couple of delays, but it's coming within the next week or two. 'till then, if you don't want to use the iExplorer fix, you can always just delete and reinstall the app.
Hi Michael, your free iexplorer fix worked for me, too, thanks.
I was confused by the "buy" button on the iexplorer page (and the £22 price tag). However, the basic file management features your fix requires can be used in demo mode, and that isn't time-limited. Thanks!
Glad to hear it, @neill!
Hm, good point - I've added a note that it's free to the original post.
Should be all fixed now.
