Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD vs. Akai EIE
I'm looking at upgrading to a 4x4 USB Interface. Both of these have channel inserts, four xlr or 1/4" jacks, and four outs. The only major difference in options is the USB hub which I love. However, the Behringer could be mounted under my board for convienece, as the Akai could not. The Behringer also seems to act as a DI Box with XLR outs.
Anyone use this device before? Any experience? I saw guy on AudioBus forum used it and said it worked great, but just wanted to see if anyone used it with Loopy before.

Or any other recommendations?
I need 4in4out and channel inserts. The USB Hub is definitely a nice bonus. I love the M-Track Quad, but it seems like it's not class compliant. What a bummer.
i didn´t get it to work. virus scanners disabled firmware updates (downloaded files=trojans).
inputs could not be used and so on. i sent it back and bought a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8.

multiple i/o, din midi, class compliant (powered usb hub).
if you need channel inserts you should go for the akai eie.
Thanks. I've decided against the channel inserts being very important. I'm looking at the iConnectAudio4+ right now. I just need 4i/4o and I like what iCA4+ has to offer. Just now need to see if it has direct monitoring.
