I cant use imported beats anymore

Ive been using loopy for about a year now and im still on ios 7.1. for the past year i would make new sessions by importing wav loops of drum beats on one of the pads and then save that session and then I would be able to load it and have the loop beat as I want it. last night I noticed that 15 of my sessions would not play the drum beats but it would go around in the circle likes it playing it and it shows up as a wav form so i know its there, just no sound. I started a new session and held down on the pad and imported a beat, and it would play for a second then cut off while the loop still kept spinning. I tried this with 15 other beats i have and same thing, 1 second then it would cut off. How can I fix this please?

  • by the way im also running it through audiobus as the output for my ampkit input

  • i seem to have narrowed it down to when i slide the tempo down to a certain tempo or slide it up to a certain tempo, thats when it bugs out mostly

  • same here...(air1, 8.3)
since michael implemented the new midi sync my imported drumloops and prerecorded sessions don´t sync
to external midi clock. the internal metronome syncs well but not the prerecorded stuff.
    tempo changes lead into desaster.

  • interesting, so am i stuck at this issue then? should i upgrade to 8.3? ive put off upgrading my 7.2, will upgrading help with this?

  • i don´t know if you can update to 8.3 because the latest update is 8.4.
im on 8.3 and can tell you that loopy works mostly if you avoid tempochanges..

  • ok i updated to 8.4, seems to be doing allright. So its not just me then.. everybody else has the same issue if they change the tempo of imported beats?

  • thanks for the replies by the way

i think they have that issue. but no one else complaines about.
maybe we are the only ones who use imported loops and change the tempo.

  • You're right - this is a bug within Apple's time stretching audio unit, by the looks of it. As you've discovered, 8.4 solves the problem, but I've also found a workaround, which will be in the next update (1.4.16, coming soon after the imminent 1.4.15 release). Stay tuned!

  • thanks so much michael. i´ve been waiting for this since 1.4.11 release. :))))
