yes, it does midi sync, but depending on your idevice can not get too cool. I have a mini ipad, loopy hd always lose the timing during the song. This occurred Drumjam, DrumPerfect and other apps.
Maybe with ipad 4 or more do not have this problem.

I just use a mini ipad with loopy hd and drumperfect,
real instruments, just a hybrid guitar with a Roland gr-55.
(and a UCA222 with lightning cable lol)

can you synch drumperfect tempo with loopy HD's metronome? I do this with funkbox but I would prefer using drumperfects loops. Way better sounding.
