(Actually I have been eagerly waiting to try Loopy since early 2009 but have been stuck on a first generation iPod touch... until now...!)

I didn't see an answer to this question on the forum already so I wanted to double-check...
i've a real problem with Loppy hd for my ipad 3.
Imagine the 12 styled loop menu, i tap on the first circle to record the first loop, the first loop starts correctly (although I can not record without the build in metronome because there is always a delay in registration and i don't know why)but when I finish recording the first loop and I tap the second circle to add a new loop the first loop stops playing (it mute itself), so I can't hear what I have done before. I tried to read the tutorial, but no help at all. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong with the configuration... any helps?

I'm new here so forgive me if this isnt new but I have a great idea. To start/stop multiple tracks at once, how about the option of holding a tap, swiping through the tracks to be changed and then having them change when the tap is released? Think of an android lock screen or a game like dungeon raid. This way we could quickly and creatively swap active tracks.

Hi - new potential Loopy user here (potential only because I don't currently own an iPhone or iPad).

I've been in the process of researching the BOSS RC-300, and have been close to buying it. However, I recently came across Loopy while researching the RC-300 (since there's a post here doing a brief breakdown of Loopy vs the RC-300).

I'm strongly thinking of, instead of paying $549 for the RC-300, putting it towards an iPad instead and buying Loopy. I guess my main question is, what am I missing out on if I go this route? At least from the comparison I found, it looks like Loopy is actually an even more powerful and easier to use looper (and if I were to add things like that Behringer foot controller, I'd be able to use it in a similar way).

In all honesty, what are the cons of a Loopy + iPad + Behringer foot controller setup compared to the RC-300?

First, I love this program! I would love to see the ability to sequence loops somehow (or at least the ability to chain midi commands) This issue might be a bug in Sunrizer, Loopy HD or iOS, so I'm posting in all three.

When Loopy is playing the background, and I start Sunrizer, it boots up, but produces no sound until Loopy is quit and Sunrizer is restarted.

I should add that if I start Sunrizer, then start Loopy HD, put Loopy in the background playing a loop and then place Sunrizer in the front, I immediately get an audio buzz, which goes away if I send Sunrize back. (All this with Audio Bkg off)

Another scenario: If I start Sunrizer with Audio Bkg on and put it in the background, it plays fine. When I start Loop HD (with its background mode OFF), I get the audio buzz again.

I also tried this with Cassini and SSSynth in the foreground with Sunrizer in the background and that worked. It looks like it could be Loopy HD issue.

Has anyone had issue with these two apps playing together?

Thx in advance!

I have a Lexicon Omega Studio audio interface which is coreaudio (and coremidi) compatible and works with all audio and midi apps on my ipad2 (ios 5). A weird bug prevents me from using it with Loopy though. I can monitor the live sound through Loopy and the levels reacts to the input. Also when I record something Loopy makes a waveform in the selected track. But the track is then not played back. It looks like it is but no output. I tried several times with several options, levels and inputs but always same result.

Also discovered something weird: If I unplug my Omega Studio I still can't hear the recorded loops from the tracks. But if I now do an overdub on one recorded tracks then I can hear the previosly recorded loop (but only using the internal sound card of the ipad).

Weird thing #2 worth mentioning is that I notice added gain to the Live playthrough signal the more tracks I have been recording using my Lexicon Omega. But still no tracks are heard of-course.

Hope it is possible to find a solution to this. I really love the interface of Loopy and it works flawlessly with my midi pedalboard connected to my Lexicon Omega Studio. Can't wait to use Loopy with my setup!

Sometimes it's nice to have a smooth endless loop to mess around with. Right now the only iOS app I know of that can create a crossfade loop is Beatmaker2 strangely enough. So the workflow is record a chunk of sound with some synth app, import it into BM2, edit it with crossfade and trim the loop, save and export it to Loopy. I'm always looking for a more streamlined way that doesn't kill the creative urge. Or maybe I just learn to live with the harsh edges... Any better ideas at all?

MIDI support is coming. What do you want to do with it?

I'm implementing MIDI support into Loopy, right now! It'll include clock sync (both send and receive, over USB MIDI via the CCK, over WiFi, and with other apps running on the same device), and a trainable control interface, so you can hook up footswitches (etc) and assign them to various actions (like, select next track, toggle record, toggle mute, etc).

But I'd love your feedback! My question is this: What do *you* want MIDI to do in Loopy? What functions do you want to be able to access? Just track select/record/mute? How about controlling volume or pan, or effects when they're implemented?

I just started to play with the loopy on my iphone. I think about buying the tascam iu2, but not to control loopy with a midi-footboard but with a sequenzer (midifile-player). I want to "programm" the songs, so that everything (record, play, mute) runs automaticaly. But perfect would be, if loopy would understand midi not only from a midi-interface, but also from an internal midi-app. Is there a way to manage this?

Thanks for your support.
